AMS Cafeteria

Welcome to the Alvord Middle School Lunchroom page. We look forward to serving our students a well balanced nutritional meal that meets the Texas Department of Agriculture's Texas Public School Nutrition Policy. Our cafeteria is offer vs. serve, which means that we offer at least five qualifying food items to each student and they may choose all or at least three and one being a fruit or vegetable for the tray to qualify for the state's nutritional guidelines. ***Students are allowed to buy a second meal or ale carte items only if they have a positive balance.

Payments

We will be accepting payments for student lunch accounts during breakfast serving time and during lunch serving time or may give money for your account to the Middle School Office staff and they will get those payments to the cafeteria to be put into your child's account. You can go to the website and choose the MySchoolBucks tab under lunchroom and make a payment online.

The prices of breakfast and lunch are as follows:

Student Breakfast   $2.00                    Student Lunch   $3.05

Adult  Breakfast      $3.30                     Adult Lunch       $4.25

Visitor Breakfast     $3.30                     Visitor Lunch     $4.25

 

Ala Carte

Water and juice is an optional beverage that we provide as an ale carte for purchase to the students, but we encourage them to also take a 8oz. milk and/or a 4oz. juice which is a qualifying food item and comes with the meal. Students will be allowed to purchase snack items and extra ala carte items in addition to their trays as long as they have money in their lunch account or they bring cash daily.  

 

Free/Reduced Meal Applications

Free and Reduced Meal Applications for meal benefits can be picked up at any campus office or cafeteria for the 2023-24 school year.
