I am Sara Taylor, the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Alvord ISD.  This will be my second year at Alvord ISD.   Prior to joining Alvord ISD, I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd grades in Dallas ISD, and virtual students for Uplift Education.  I have experience as a Professional Development Specialist for a national education technology company as well.  I graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a Speech Communication Degree and I also hold a master's degree in Christian Education.  After pursuing work in the non-profit and church world for many years, I began my career in public education and have continued on that path for almost 10 years.  

I love the Alvord community!  My husband and I have two children, one attending Alvord Middle School and one at Alvord High School.  I am thankful to be able to work for this incredible district.
